This publication is one of three works published by the Great Southern & Western Railway to prospective tourists on the delights that were located in the areas
served by the GS&WR. With no publication date visible, the closest I can date the publications to is between 1906 and 1924. The three guides cover:
* Killarney
* Cork & Waterford
* Dublin and Limerick
That Killarney, as one of the most overhyped tourist locations in Ireland, gets a book to itself, shows what can be done with marketing. The guides list what can be
seen in the towns featured and also give details of golf, fishing and shooting opportunities which were near to relevant GS&WR railway stations.
The books are illustrated with stock photos of featured locations supplied by local landscape photographers - the best known of which was William Lawrence.
